To search by title or author
To search by subject
To refine your search

Use this screen to search for materials available from local libraries and other sources that your library can access. 

To search by title or author
1. If you know the exact title of the material, type it in the Title field.
2. If you do not know the exact title, type words contained in the title in the Keywords field. 
If you are searching for all the titles by an author, leave the Title and Keywords fields blank. 
3. If you know the author of the material, type it in the Author field.
You can leave the Author field blank if you have entered the exact title, or if you want to search for journals or newspapers.
4. Click the Search button.
The screen displays matching materials available from your local libraries. If required you can refine your search to:
a. Include other sources of material that your library has access to.
b. Only display materials available from a specific branch.
c. Limit your search to a particular collection.
d. Select material published in a particular year or date range.
5. Click on the title to see more details about the material.

To search by subject
1. If you are looking for books on a particular subject, type in any number of words in the Keywords field.
2. If you know the author of the material type it in the Author field.
3. Click the Search button
The screen displays matching materials available from your local libraries. If required you can refine your search to:
a. Include other sources of material that your library has access to.
b. Only display materials available from a specific branch.
c. Limit your search to a particular collection.
d. Select material published in a particular year or date range.
4.  Click on the title to see more details about the material.

To refine your search
1. Enter your search terms (described above).
2. Use the mouse to select a Source to search.
The Source represents other catalogues of material that your library can access. OPAC will search for material held at local libraries unless you specify an alternative.
You can choose more than one Source by holding down the CTRL key and clicking on any additional sources you wish to search.
3. To limit your search to only include material at a specific branch, click the Library Site drop down button and select a branch.
4. Your library may have created collections which group together similar types of material e.g. journals or music. To limit your search to only include material from within a specific collection, select a Collection.
5. To limit your search to only material published in a specific year, select one of the Dates or date ranges provided.
Select any year to include materials published in any year.
6. Click the Search button.
The screen displays matching materials.
